About the role

Our Energy and Resources Division works with major exploration and distribution clients to deliver specialist mining, oil and gas projects across the country. These include upstream flowlines, leases, network gathering and distribution systems, major gas transmission pipelines, oil and gas above ground processing facilities, as well as integrity, maintenance and construction related work programs.  The role is offered as a full-time position.

 
Skills & experience

We are looking for an experienced Senior Pipeline Engineer responsible for the preparation of high-quality pipeline designs, documentation and specifications satisfying both organisation and client expectations.  We are looking for an energetic team player who can lead projects, consult with clients and mentor the junior team members.

 

Other Duties:

  • Preparation and review of engineering design documents
  • Mentoring and training junior pipeline engineers
  • Work effectively within a team
  • Provide technical pipeline advice
  • Technical reporting as required
  • Liaise with inter discipline engineers to understand project requirements
  • Liaise with clients
  • Monitor project schedules to ensure efficient delivery of service

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical/Pipeline
  • Strong knowledge of applicable Australian standards including AS2885 and APGA CoP for Upstream PE Gathering Networks
  • Strong knowledge of carbon steel pipeline design
  • Pipeline construction experience is advantageous
  • RPEQ desirable
  • Ability to manage conflicting deadlines and client requirements
  • Demonstrated team player
  • Strong analytical and technical report writing skills
  • A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality of work
