Congratulations to ib vogt on securing approval for the Wagga North Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in New South Wales.
The project will enable large-scale energy storage in regional Australia, supporting lower emissions, greater energy resilience and more affordable energy outcomes for the region.
Fyfe was proud to support this important project by coordinating the Activation Precinct Certificate and Development Application, bringing together expertise across planning, environment, heritage and engineering to navigate a complex approvals pathway.
The project is significant as it is one of only two grid-scale BESS developments approved within NSW Special Activation Precincts (SAP), with Fyfe having prepared the approvals for both projects. Fyfe has a long history of working with the Wagga Wagga City Council and stakeholders on the SAP.
This achievement is a result of the strength of collaboration between our team and ib vogt, as well as Fyfe’s capability in supporting critical energy infrastructure projects through innovative planning and approval frameworks.
