Gary is a highly respected leader in the professional services sectors, with over 35 years of experience and a track record of strategic leadership and business growth.
After serving as Chairman, Gary was appointed Managing Director of Fyfe in October 2019. In 2025, following his decision to step down as Managing Director, he will continue to contribute to the business in a key governance role as a Non-Executive Director on the Fyfe Board.
As Managing Director, Gary has overseen the implementation of Fyfe’s strategic direction, managed corporate risk, and led both financial and operational functions. Under his leadership, the company experienced significant national expansion and capability growth.
Gary is widely recognised for his expertise in consulting, built on more than 35 years in professional services. Before joining Fyfe, he held a range of senior leadership roles with an international firm of consulting engineers, planners, and surveyors. He spent 15 years as the Managing Director of that firm, which employed around 600 staff across offices in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
Gary’s area of expertise is in the urban development sector, where he has been instrumental in the planning, design, and delivery of large-scale master planned residential communities—creating approximately 50,000 residential allotments throughout his career.
Gary holds a Masters in Applied Law and a Masters in Business Administration, and is a Fellow of the UDIA (QLD). He has completed the YPO Program in Leadership at Harvard Business School and the YPO Program in Entrepreneurship at London Business School.
