35 megawatt one-hour battery energy storage system facility

Fyfe is providing surveying consultancy services to install a 35-megawatt one-hour battery energy storage system (BESS) facility in Port Hedland, Western Australia. This project is being carried out for APA Group as part of a large-scale renewable Power Purchase Agreement for BHP.

We are supporting UGL, which is tasked with designing, testing, and commissioning of the BESS at the Port Hedland Power Station. They are also responsible for extending the existing high-voltage infrastructure for the BESS connection.

Our surveying workforce is well-equipped to handle all geospatial aspects of the project. These include setting out for civil works and equipment, creating as-built records for civil works and underground services, and generating survey reports.
