Barossa Council Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

Fyfe has partnered with The Barossa Council to design and engineer a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for the Gooden Drive Pump Station. This project will replace the current backup diesel generator with a state-of-the-art BESS, offering a more reliable and sustainable power solution tailored to the site’s needs.

BESS facilities store electrical energy in batteries for later use. These systems balance supply and demand, enhance grid stability, and provide backup power in various settings.

With over two decades of experience in engineering for renewables and power generation, our team is well-equipped to deliver efficient, cost-effective design solutions. We’re excited to support the Barossa Council with this first stage of its project, which will help ensure a reliable, sustainable energy future.
