We’re pleased to announce that two Fyfe teams are helping power Australia with sunshine by supporting Vast on its VS1 project.
VS1 is an innovative Concentrated Solar Thermal Power plant near Port Augusta, South Australia. When complete, the plant will collect solar energy and store it as heat in special tanks. That heat can be used to power industrial processes or as steam to drive a synchronous electricity generator.
In conjunction with AFRY, Primero Group, and Worley, Fyfe’s FEED experts are providing front-end engineering design services, generator connection, and related HV systems design while our civil engineering team is working on elements of the site’s civil design, including the Stuart Highway intersection and internal access roads.
VS1 will deliver clean, low-cost, dispatchable power and provide an economic boost to the Port Augusta region.
