Fyfe survey division scoops top awards and recognition at EISSI and AIMS

Fyfe survey division scoops top awards and recognition at EISSI and AIMS

We’re thrilled to announce our survey division’s remarkable achievements in the geospatial sector, marked by recognitions at the Excellence in Surveying and Spatial Information (EISSI) awards and by an Australian Institute of Mine Surveyors (AIMS) Fellowship.

These accolades underscore Fyfe’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and leadership in the industry.

Chris Nixon, supported by Fyfe’s New South Wales survey team, received the Surveying Project Management award at this year’s EISSI awards, organised by the Institution of Surveyors NSW (ISNSW). Chris was honoured for his exceptional work on the Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ), a pivotal infrastructure project aimed at accelerating the development of renewable energy in New South Wales.

In addition to Chris’s win, Fyfe’s New South Wales team celebrated two other finalists: Joshua Lieschke, a finalist for the University Student Project of the Year, and Brian Hammonds, a finalist for Surveyor of the Year. These two nominations reflect our long-standing commitment to excellence in surveying and supporting graduates to become tomorrow’s leading experts.

Elsewhere, Mark Scholes, a Registered Mine Surveyor in Fyfe’s New South Wales office, was awarded the prestigious title of Fellow by the Australian Institute of Mine Surveyors (AIMS).

Since joining Fyfe in 2018, Mark has been a cornerstone of the NSW Survey team, overseeing complex projects across resources, mining, local government, and renewables. His surveying career, spanning over four decades, includes significant contributions to survey consulting, geospatial software, mentoring and auditing.

Chris Moore, Fyfe’s General Manager – Survey, expressed pride in the team’s achievements, stating, “The awards and nominations highlight the value our clients place on our collaborative and solutions-focused approach. Additionally, being recognised by the geospatial industry underscores our capabilities and commitment to excellence in geospatial services.”

Fyfe’s successes at the EISSI awards and AIMS reflect the leading role we play in delivering innovative and high-quality geospatial solutions, leveraging the latest technology in surveying, GIS, reality capture, and RPAS (drone) solutions.

These achievements not only celebrate individual excellence but also underscore our collective strength and dedication to advancing the geospatial industry.
